The Idaho State Prayer Breakfast

The Idaho State Prayer Breakfast is a state version of the National Prayer Breakfast held annually in Washington, D.C. The Idaho breakfast was inaugurated over 50 years ago and continues to be sponsored by a volunteer committee of interested persons who have joined together for this occasion with the desire to deepen the spiritual life and moral fiber of the people of Idaho through God’s leadership.

Steve Moore

CEO Emeritus, M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust

Steve Moore served as the CEO/Executive Director of the M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust for 16 years. Over the course of Steve’s tenure, the Trust surpassed the $1 Billion mark in grants awarded across five states in the Northwest, including Idaho. Now, as CEO Emeritus, Steve continues to support the work of the Trust as it seeks to nurture and enrich the education, spiritual, cultural and social life of those within the Pacific Northwest.

Steve is an inspirational speaker, thought leader and widely published author. Throughout his career, Steve stands at the intersection of faith, the marketplace and the public square, serving in leadership and board roles regionally and nationally. Educated widely, Steve is an alumnus of McMurry University, Asbury Theological Seminary, St. Andrews University, and the University of Michigan. He has been a visiting scholar at Oxford University and Baylor University.

Prior to serving the Murdock Trust, Steve served as Vice President of Seattle Pacific University, Senior Vice President of Asbury Theological Seminary, and President of the Asbury Foundation. Steve and his wife Thanne, a speech pathologist, have three children.
